Overview

Badminton is a fast-paced racket sport played between two players (singles) or two teams of two (doubles). The objective is to hit the shuttlecock over the net and land it in the opponent’s court to score points. Players use lightweight rackets to strike the shuttlecock, which must not touch the ground. The game requires speed, agility, and precision, making it one of the most exciting racket sports worldwide.

Types of Shots

Football Image

Smash – A powerful downward shot to finish a rally. Drop Shot – A soft shot that lands just over the net. Clear – A high shot aimed at the back of the opponent’s court. Drive – A fast, flat shot parallel to the ground. Net Shot – A delicate shot played close to the net to force a weak return.

Basic Rules

A match is played in a best-of-three games format, with each game played to 21 points. A point is scored on every rally (Rally Point System). A player/team must win by at least 2 points if the score reaches 20-20. If the score reaches 29-29, the first to 30 points wins the game. The shuttlecock must land within the court boundaries to be a valid shot.
